Klavo ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Klavo components and services (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Definitions
Service: The Klavo components and associated backend services provided by Klavo.
Personal Data: Data about a living individual who can be identified from those data.
Usage Data: Data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
Data Controller: A person who determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed.
Data Processor: Any person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller.
2. Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information to provide and improve our Service to you.
Types of Data Collected
a) Information for License Purchase and Activation:
When you purchase a license, our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, collects information necessary to complete the transaction, such as your name and email address. We do not see or store your payment card details. We only receive information necessary to verify your purchase.
During the activation of a Klavo component, we collect:
Your License Key
Your unique Project Key
The domain of the website where the component is being activated
This information is stored securely in our database (hosted by Supabase) and is used solely to validate your license and ensure compliance with the license terms.
b) Data from Form Submissions (Klavo Full-Stack Service):
When you use a full-stack Klavo component (Klavo, Klavo Step, Klavo Testimonial), you are the Data Controller for the information your website visitors submit. We act as a Data Processor on your behalf. The data submitted through your forms is securely stored in our database so that we can provide the Service to you (e.g., send email notifications, store file uploads).
We do not access, share, or use the content of your form submissions for any purpose other than providing the Service to you as configured.
c) Data from Form Submissions (Klavo Lite Service):
When you use a Klavo Lite component, we do not collect, process, or store any of the data submitted by your website visitors. All data is sent directly from the user's browser to the webhook URL you provide. You are solely responsible for the security and privacy of the data received at your webhook endpoint.
3. Use of Data
Klavo uses the collected data for various purposes:
To provide and maintain our Service
To validate and verify your license
To provide customer support
To monitor the usage of our Service to prevent fraud and abuse
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
4. Cookies and Local Storage
Cookies and local storage are small files stored on your device.
How We Use These Technologies:
The Klavo components use your browser's localStorage to cache your license activation status. This is done to provide a faster and more seamless experience by not needing to re-validate your license on every page load. This stored data does not contain any personal information.
Third-Party Cookies:
Please be aware that our third-party service providers, such as Framer (your hosting platform) and Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor), use their own cookies to provide their services. We do not control the use of these cookies. Please review their respective privacy policies for more information.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored and processed on secure servers provided by our infrastructure partner, Supabase. The security of your data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Service Providers (Sub-processors)
We employ third-party companies to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Lemon Squeezy: Our payment and license key management provider.
Supabase: Our backend infrastructure and database provider.
Resend: Our email delivery provider for form submission notifications.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date at the top.
